Cyclones

Cyclone solids separators are equipment designed to concentrate the solids entrained by the air flow produced by a fan, separating them by centrifugal force, decanting them and following the air on its way without dragging heavy solids.

There are two ways of using the cyclone separator; one way is to place the fan before the cyclone, which makes the cyclone work at a pressure higher than atmospheric pressure, passing the solids, dragged by the air, through the fan, causing wear on the fan blades, and the other way is to place the fan after the cyclone, having the advantage of not wearing out the fan blades, being essential to use a rotary valve at the solids outlet as an air seal.
